Nestling in between the Bischofsmütze and Dachstein mountains, Filzmoos is a pretty and quintessential Austrian village, where little has changed over the years. With its excellent snow record and magnificent scenery, it has much to offer both the skier and the non-skier and wherever you ski, the slopes are usually uncrowded and lift queues non-existent. Après-ski is popular at a couple of bars and cafés in the village, such as the lively 'Happy Filzmoos' or the cosy 'Kenn-i-di' bar. Beautiful horse-drawn sleigh rides are possible through the forests to the romantic Unterhof and Oberhof huts.
