Les Arcs is a skiers and snowboarders paradise. There’s an astonishing variety of runs, from wide, long cruising reds and blues, to great off-piste. One of the longest and most challenging runs in the Alps, the Aiguille Rouge run, descends from the top of resort at 3226m to Villaroger at 1200m. Whatever you choose to do in Les Arc, it’s a thrilling ride!
The top of the Aiguille Rouge glacier also provides spectacular views across the Alps. On a good day you can see across to La Rosière and the Italian side of Mont Blanc. Much of the resort is easily accessible and there is doorstep skiing from many of the hotels.
Known for its kilometres of excellent cruising runs, Les Arcs is a magnificent resort for intermediate skiers. The off-piste opportunities are also exceptional. The vast ski reserve combines a great snow record with sumptuous north facing snow fields allowing visitors to explore even more of the mountain.
Beyond skiing and snowboarding this fun-filled resort offers a wealth of entertaining winter sports pursuits. There are numerous freestyle sections dotted around the mountain, including parks, a boardercross and, towards the end of the season, a waterslide.
A fantastic range of bars, restaurants and non-ski activities means Les Arcs continues to fascinate at the end of the ski day. Àpres destinations include the incredible Igloo ice bar, the on piste Arpette, and the bowling alley and cocktail bar, while activities include the luge and parapenting with skis on!
The state of the art Mille8 complex in Arcs 1800 comprises an outstanding aquatic centre and a decent selection of shops makes this resort a firm favourite with families.
Skiers and snowboarders alike will have fantastic fun in Les Arcs. The resort continually surprises for its variety – both on and off the mountain.
