Bohinj is located in the North-Western part of Slovenia in the Julian Alps. Straza is the main skiing area and there is also a free 20 minute bus to the two ski areas of Vogel and Kobla on the slopes of Mount Trigval where you can ski up to 1800m.
With a fantastic English speaking ski school, you will learn from the professionals some basic skills to get you up onto the slopes in no time.
There are some fantastic red and black slopes which are great to improve on, start the day with the short red run at the top of the Storec drag lift, then head over to the Orlove Glave chairlift for a wider choice of long blues and excellent reds.
There aren't many challenging slopes for advanced skiers. there are however some off-piste slopes which can be tackled with a guide at a very reasonable price.
Bohinj has a small choice of restaurants spread across the villages, mostly local cuisine, there are however some lovely traditional restaurants and pizzerias inside the hotels.
