Ortisei Holidays

Ortisei gives you direct access to muhc of the extensive Dolomiti Superski area as well as the Sella ronda. Together with the smaller ski resorts of S. Cristina and Selva, Ortisei is part of Val Gardena – one of Italy’s premier ski areas. It’s Val Gardena’s main town and by far the prettiest, with a pastel palette of buildings complimenting the stone walls of the town's ancient churches.

Beginners

First timers will progress quickly on the gentle village nursery slopes and enjoy excellent quality tuition from the ski school. A short gondola up the mountain is Alpe di Suisi, which offers a range of wide, easy runs perfect for your first run.

Intermediates

There is around 105km of piste suitable for intermediates, meaning you will never have to ski the same run twice! The Alpe di Suisi is great for those getting back into the swing of it, where if you take the Saslong cable car it leads to some uneven, wooded descents for those who like a bit more of a challenge.

Advanced

Advanced skiers can experience the famous Men's World Downhill Cup run at St. Cristina whilst nearby Arabba, with its steeper descents leading to the glacier runs of the Marmolada, are sure to thrill.

Eating out

The area is centred around fine cuisine and good wines, served in lively restaurants and bars, the quality is exceptional with some highly rated restaurants, as well as more low key Italian places providing simple pizza and pasta dishes.
