Flaine is the 4th largest linked ski area in france, it is an exceptionally friendly and family orientated ski village and offers superb value for money. A sociable ski bowl environment suited to beginners, with its runs being predominantly north-facing, the resort is renowned for maintaining fantastic snow throughout the season.
Beginners will love the wide, gentle nursery slopes close to the village centre. The two ski schools offer friendly tuition so you will be tackling some of the easy green and blue runs in no time.
The Flaine snow-bowl has an incredible network of red runs, ideal for intermediate skiers and the extensive groomed runs with an extensive lift system are perfect for spending a day touring the mountainside.
Expert skiers will relish the endless off-piste trails, on top of 265km of piste runs. Challenging black runs include the Diamond Noir, Styx and the wooded run down to Samoëns, and there's plenty of off-piste in the Gers Bowl.
Flaine has an adequate choice for a small ski resort it has a few bars and restaurants for apres-ski entertainment with themed nights and live music from early afternoon to late into the night.
