Seefeld is the twice venue for the winter olympics, it is an attractive village which provides separate ski areas for beginners and intermediates with floodlit night skiing and a huge cross-country network, perfect for serious skiers and beginners looking to take up a new snow sport.
Seefelds marvellous ski school and slopes are thoroughly recommended for those first time skiers and snowboarders. Lessons begin on the Geigenbühel beginners area taught by friendly english speaking instructors before heading further afield to slightly steeper runs to practise your newly found skills.
Off-piste cruising in Seefeld is a brilliant experience, with wide open blue and red runs, ideal for those getting back into the swing of it. More accomplished skiers will find exhilarating runs on the Rosshütte side of the valley where you can aim higher up the mountain for more challenging pistes.
There are a couple of black runs on the Rosshütte side of Seefeld which should not be taken lightly. If you head to Härmelekopf there is a challenging off-piste area for free riders but we strongly recommend an experience mountain guide due to a number of inconspicuous cliffs.
If you've never taken a cross-country ski holiday before, then seefeld is the perfect destination to learn. With specialist ski schools you will pick up the technique in no time. There is 2179km of trails in the Seefeld plateau- a cross country paradise.
Seefeld has many restaurants, serving a full range of delicious, traditional Austrian dishes. It also has an excellent range of bars and clubs for a chilled environment to enjoy a well deserved drink.
