Chalet Vieux Logis, Alpe D'Huez
he Chalet Vieux Logis has proved a popular addition to our portfolio in Alpe d’Huez. Situated right on the piste, in the heart of the Old Town, this charming detached property provides the discerning skier with all that you could ask for.
The Vieux Logis has been lovingly renovated with considerable thought, resulting in a smart interior which combines contemporary design features with tasteful furnishings, full of character. The exposed wooden floors throughout provide a warm ambience, whilst the spacious and airy living area offer’s a comfortable large seating area. From here French doors lead onto the substantial sun terrace; an ideal place for post skiing drinks in the sun whilst enjoying the breathtaking views across the valley. The separate dining room on the floor below is full of character with a beamed ceiling, open fire, and smartly fitted dressers.
The chalet has eight bedrooms of varying size, all decorated in neutral colours, with six of them also having a balcony. Room 7 is smaller than the others with a sloping ceiling and velux window ,and is therefore sold for single occupancy only.
A spacious new sauna as well as two rainfall showers have been added on the ground floor.
Access to the skiing each day is easy with the Eclose piste on your doorstep, and its chairlift only 50m away.
We are confident that guests will not fail to appreciate the quality and convenience that the Vieux Logis offers to ensure a fabulous ski holiday in Alpe d’Huez.
Ski range from 1,480m - 3,300m
Renowned for its sunshine as much as for its excellent snow record, Alpe d'Huez is at the same height as Val d'Isère, and the ski area soars to virtually a whole vertical mile above, at the Pic Blanc summit and the guaranteed snow of the Sarenne Glacier.
From here you can see one-fifth of France before you take on the challenge of the Sarenne descent - the longest black run in the world - fully 16kms from top to bottom! For less challenging descents, the cruisy open slope above the village offer ample opportunity to perfect your carving technique, whilst beginners will be spoilt by the number of blue and green runs they can tackle.
