Ski access could hardly be easier; just 300m walk before you ski out on the blue Santons run straight down into the resort centre for your choice of lifts each day, and return on this run too via the Epaule du Charvet black run or the red Piste ‘M’. Alternatively the free ski bus stops within 100m for access to the resort centre which is 10-12 minutes’ walk.
Ski Range 1,850m – 3,456m
The ultra high altitude skiing of the legendary Espace Killy virtually guarantees the very best conditions for Val d'Isère right from late November to early May, whilst the superb high-tech ski lift system whisks you rapidly up to a world with guaranteed snow on the Pissaille Glacier and varied skiing that really does have something for everyone.
There is a surprising charm to Val d'Isère too, with the attractive old village surrounded by sensitive development using lots of stone, slate and wood. Hand in hand with its world-class skiing goes Val d’Isère's equally famous nightlife. Explore the partially pedestrianised centre and discover why the après-ski is just as exciting as the skiing!
NEW Gondola December 2016, marked the opening of the brand new Solaise Gondola. The two-year 16 million Euro redevelopment of the Solaise mountain. The old chair-lift and Solaise cable-car have been replaced with a new 10-person gondola with 91 cabins, heated seats and WIFI; increasing the capacity by 40% per hour. Great news for Val d’Isère and you!
